Creative Director

GameClub is on the hunt for a visionary Creative Director to lead a high-performance, cross-discipline creative team. This is a hands-on role that requires strong individual creative contribution in addition to engaging, managing, and developing other creative talent.

Your role at GameClub:

  • Drive visual asset creation in partnership with the in-house art team, freelancers, and agencies
  • Work directly with product and marketing team members to understand their creative needs, then translate them into direction for successful execution
  • Help strategize new opportunities and improvements for advertising across various channels from paid social, email, web, and more
  • Lead creative decision-making on campaigns: Oversee and guide the development from treatments to scripts to final edits to distribution; maintain accountability for the success of the campaign
  • Write compelling copy to complement the visual creative that drives home the value of GameClub for our players
  • Successfully manage a project team of creatives — designers, writers, editors, animators — and direct their work toward the best possible outcomes
  • Create stunning presentations to communicate the opportunity of GameClub to content providers and investors
  • Continually help to define processes to effectively deliver quality creative in a fast-paced environment

In summary, drive the creative design and direction for:

  • User acquisition campaigns
  • In-game ads
  • GameClub branded elements
  • Social media, web, and community
  • Lifecycle marketing campaigns
  • All App Store storefronts across every country, includes app icons, screenshots, trailers, featuring artwork

We’re looking for somebody with the following qualifications:

  • Strong, independent designer with a proven track record of delivering stunning visual design across channels and especially on mobile devices
  • 5+ years’ experience as an art director or creative director, 3+ within an agency environment
  • 5+ years’ experience in games or digital media
  • Demonstrated leadership in producing content across mobile, web, and video
  • An understanding of and active interest in branded content and advertising
  • A proven ability to tell unexpected stories visually in thoughtful and unique ways across multiple platforms, especially mobile
  • Ability to conceive and adapt creative narratives that underscore and grow emerging brands
  • Excellent knowledge of Adobe suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) required
  • Experience with video software a big plus (Adobe Premiere, After Effects, Final Cut, etc.)
  • Must be highly proficient in content production processes
  • Love of games and strong understanding of mobile gamers’ expectations and market quality standards
  • Great communication skills
  • Online portfolio reflecting art direction expertise
